About me

I have been lecturing in systematic theology at Christ College, in Sydney New South Wales since 2003 (when it was called the Presbyterian Theological Centre). Over the years, I’ve taught through the traditional loci of dogmatics several times, as well as teaching theological ethics, Westminster Confession and Christian Worldview. I’m a minister of the Presbyterian Church of Australia and served the congregation in Cowra in central western NSW before coming to teach at Christ College.

I’m married to Liz and we have two young adult children. We live in the Lower Blue Mountains and are part of the Winmalee Presbyterian Church.

My PhD was on the theme of anticipation in the thought of Wolfhart Pannenberg, and I’ve published From the Future based on that, aimed at students doing a first degree in theology.

I am the convenor (chair) of the Gospel, Society and Culture Committee of the Presbyterian Church in NSW, as well as convenor of the Church and Nation Committee of the Presbyterian Church of Australia.
